After Halloween is over, and all the candy is eaten, it is then time to turn our thoughts towards Thanksgiving. I love everything about Thanksgiving. The food, the friends, the family and the fellowship. Last year, since were were here in Mississippi, and all our family was in Oklahoma, we had dinner with our friends. It was awesome, and I hope we do it again. This year, we will be with family, and I personally can't wait!
A few weeks ago, Pickles painted a turkey, and since the last Trick-or-Treater visited on Monday, she has been begging me to hang Tom in his temporary home. Well today, I did just that. Tom is proudly displayed in our dining room.

Meet Tom the Turkey...a Pickles original in acrylic. |
After hanging Tom, I decided we had a major hole in the decor, and decided to paint my own canvass... I am not the best artist, but I think it will get the job done. If you happen to visit my house, make sure you tell me how beautiful you find my elementary art. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all!

My attempt at a painting...who knew words would be so hard! |

Our Thanksgiving wall. |
I know it is not perfect, but I am proud of our original art work. This was a fun project and a great way to solidify my lack of artistic skills! I think I will leave the painting to Pickles!
Thanks Meri Smith for the wonderful job you do with our children!
Until next time, keep adventuring and looking for joy in the small details of life!
