If there are any gems hidden in Memphis, it is the Zoo! Memphis has a fabulous zoo, and we enjoy it every time we visit. We purchase a yearly membership, and it is totally worth the money.
Both children have been sick this week. The Little Man has been terribly sick, and I knew it was time we got out of the house. I really didn't want us to be around people, but knew the fresh air would do a body good. We arrived around 9 in the morning, and it was cool and all the animal were out and playing.

They are so excited to be out of the house! We are ready to adventure through the zoo! |

My Little People checking out LeLe, one of the giant pandas on exhibit. Memphis is one of only 4 zoos in the nation to have pandas! |
This monkey wanted to play... |
...and play... |
and play some more! This was amazing. I think we played for over 5 minutes. |
These monkeys kept playing and yelling. I think they wanted the Little Man to play too! |
They kept playing... |
...and swinging and hollering! |
Pickles couldn't understand why they only had one leg...lol! |
The life of a crocodile... |
An elephant enjoying a morning snack. |
The Grizzly bears were playing too. Under the log... |
and again... |
and again! Pickles thought it was hunting for fish! |
The other Grizzly...he had given up! |
Pickles was amazed at with this snake! She said it was nature's cammo! |
As you can see, we had a great visit, and the animals were so playful since the weather was amazing. If you are ever in Memphis, you should definitely take the time to visit the zoo!
Until next time, keep adventuring and looking for joy in the small details of life!
Sarah
