I am more than ready for Spring Break! I can't wait to spend some time with my Oklahoma Family and create new memories. This year, our Little Man's birthday will fall during Spring Break. I am so excited that he will be surrounded by all of his cousins to celebrate his second birthday! It is amazing that he will be two. It seems like just yesterday when he was born.
Pickles is excited to spend Spring Break with all of her cousins. She thinks that she will have a delightful time catching up with the older girls. They always make her feel special and she is ready for the princess treatment. I can see the nail polish and make up already, and the hair do's and clothes. I am not ready for the mountain of laundry that they will create on an hourly basis, but this too is manageable, and is all part of the fun of being girly girls! I am sure we will have to have high heels before the week is over...
It seems that distance is the only thing that separates the cousins. Even though they have never lived in the same state, they still talk about each other on a daily basis. It amazes me how often all of the cousins talk about one another, even if it has been months since we have spent any time together. Even more amazing is that they really don't talk on the phone too much either. I hope that this bond stays as they grow older, and these memories become the building blocks of a lasting friendship. I love the time we spend as a big, happy family!
Today, I leave you with a picture of sweet cousins. Pickles and Makenzie are sure to be inseperable in a few days... if we are lucky, they will keep The Little Man entertained!
